On Thursday the Baltic Dry Index rose 43 points (1.2%) to 3,399, led by gains
across all vessel classes. The Capesize index (BCI) gained 78 points (1.3%) to
5,939; Capesize average daily earnings rose $709 to $50,361. The Panamax index
(BPI) added 49 points (2.1%) to 2,382; Panamax average daily earnings rose $438
to $21,434. The Supramax index (BSI) ticked up 4 points (0.2%) to 1,782.
