Trump said he has urged advisers to approve a diesel export ban as diesel prices
have surged amid pressures linked to Iran and the Ukraine conflict. Treasury
Secretary Bessent said officials are assessing feasibility given overall
refining capacity and whether a full or partial ban would be effective. Trump
made the remarks during a meeting with Ukrainian President Zelenskiy at the UNGA
and said he has urged Zelenskiy to curb strikes on Russian energy
infrastructure.
