CENTCOM said strikes targeted Iranian air-defense systems, command-and-control networks, coastal radar sites and anti-ship missile capabilities, and that US forces destroyed over 60 small vessels belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the Strait and adjacent waters. CENTCOM named three merchant ships Iran previously attacked transiting the Strait — the Marshall Islands-flagged tanker Al Raqayat, the Saudi-flagged tanker Weddian and the Liberia-flagged Cyprus Prosperity — and said US forces remain at heightened readiness and will hold Iran accountable if it fails to comply or breaches any agreement.
