President PEZESHKIAN said Iran supports resuming the Islamabad memorandum of understanding and favors resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy. He said Tehran values restoring consensus and honoring existing commitments, and will work to create the conditions for "serious, substantive and result‑oriented negotiations," while continuing constructive cooperation on respect for sovereignty, de‑escalation and regional peace and stability.

South Africa plans to invest up to 44 billion rand (about $2.7 bln) to upgrade manganese export infrastructure, including building a manganese-export berth at Ngqura Port and repairing rail links, Transnet said in pre-qualification documents. Transnet intends to bring in private partners to build, fund and operate the berth under a 25-year concession; roughly 20 billion rand (about $1.2 bln) is earmarked for rail repairs to boost mine-to-port capacity. South Africa holds around 70% of proven global manganese reserves; the project is aimed at easing export bottlenecks and improving mineral transport efficiency.
