China launched 26 low-Earth-orbit satellites for a satellite internet constellation today from the Hainan commercial spaceport aboard a Long March-8A rocket; all satellites reached their planned orbits and the mission was declared successful.

China A-shares closed lower after opening weak. Shanghai Composite fell 1.22%, Shenzhen Composite down 2.34%, ChiNext down 2.68%. Wind-power equipment led gains with Jixin Technology hitting its daily limit. Shipping and ports rallied in the afternoon; Xiamen Port hit the limit-up. Coal names were active (Yunmei Energy limit-up); robotics also firm with Luozhou Co. at limit. New listing N Bairuiji closed roughly 331% higher. Lagging sectors included precious metals, PCBs, grain, CPO, glass substrates and energy metals. Turnover on the Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses totaled 1.65 tln yuan, down about 111.6 bln yuan versus yesterday; roughly 1,100 stocks rose and 4,000 fell.
