Delegates backed strengthening BRICS and Global South independence and solidarity, greater use of the BRICS security‑representatives mechanism for communication and coordination on major international and regional hotspots, and expanding the scope of “Big BRICS” cooperation. Wang said China will assume the BRICS rotating presidency next year and intends to deepen political‑security cooperation.
