On September 22nd, the Buffett Index (CSI 300 market capitalization/GDP) rose for the third consecutive day to 93.11%, recently fluctuating within the middle range of its year-to-date range. The equity risk premium (ERP) of the CSI 300 Index, a stock-bond ratio indicator, was 5.75%, unchanged from yesterday and still at a relatively high level. From a longer-term perspective, this indicator remains in the middle of its four-year fluctuation range, suggesting that the current attractiveness of the stock market relative to government bond yields is at a neutral to high level. -------- Note: 1. The Buffett Index compares the total market capitalization of the stock market to GDP to determine whether the stock market is currently overvalued. Generally, 70-100% is considered a normal valuation; below this range is considered undervalued, and above is considered overvalued. 2. The risk premium (ERP) of the CSI 300 Index is mainly compared with the returns of the CSI 300 and the yield of government bonds. Statistics from the past 10 years show that this indicator has a clear inverse relationship with the stock index. Every time the stock market is in the bottom area, the risk premium exceeds 6%. That is, when ERP ≥ 6%, the stock market has investment value, while when ERP ≤ 4%, the stock market is often close to or at a stage high, the investment value is low, and there is even a risk of correction.

Galaxy Securities said in a Sept. 23 report the Fed hiked 25bps to 3.75%–4.00% on Sept. 16, the first increase since July 2023. A systemic rise in risk-free lifting discount rates beyond the policy rate and compressing equity P/Es, disproportionately hitting high-valuation growth stocks dependent on distant cash flows. The AI narrative remains strong, but pricing is shifting from long‑term visions to near‑term realization. On the first trading day after the hike, storage, CPUs, foundry and optical‑interconnect segments outperformed; strong current earnings and short investment payback make these compute‑hardware nodes less sensitive to higher rates. Valuation differentiation is accelerating: hardware with verified cash flows and earnings (advanced process, memory, optical interconnect, equipment and materials) is benefiting, while narrative‑driven, unprofitable names are being further squeezed.

Omdia data show global AI glasses shipments reached 4.2 mln units in 1H 2026, up 127% YoY. The category remains nascent; as the market expands from a low base growth is gradually stabilizing. Competition among different frame designs is intensifying and user privacy concerns are rising, making the market environment more complex.

On September 22nd, the proportion of A-share stocks with a turnover rate below 3% fell for the third consecutive day to 70.52%, while the proportion of stocks with a turnover rate above 5% rebounded from a two-year low last week to 15.42%, continuing to approach the threshold level. Overall, the turnover rate has temporarily stopped falling; attention should be paid to whether it can break the downward trend since July. -------- Note: 1. When the proportion of stocks with a turnover rate below 3% rises to near a medium-to-long-term high, especially near historical highs (dashed line in the chart, representing a reversal trend), it means the market is likely to encounter a temporary low, making a reversal or rebound likely. 2. When the proportion of stocks with a turnover rate above 5% remains above the threshold (dashed line in the chart), a strong profit-making effect will emerge in the market, making the market trend sustainable. During a bull market, this indicator will consistently remain above the threshold, leading to a broad-based market rally; while during a bear market, this indicator is mostly below the threshold, and occasionally exceeding the threshold should be viewed with caution due to the risk of a pullback after a surge.
