On June 25 the EU Council approved two regulations implementing the
tariff-related commitments in the Aug. 21, 2025 US-EU joint statement,
completing the legislative process. The remove regulations remaining EU tariffs
on US industrial goods; introduce tariff quotas and tariff reductions to grant
preferential access for certain US seafood and non-sensitive agricultural
products; and extend the suspension of duties on lobster imports, including
processed lobster, imported on an MFN basis from all countries. Both regulations
have been signed and will be published in the Official Journal and take effect
the day after publication. The main regulation will cease to apply at end-2029.
