Al Jazeera cited US officials saying roughly 40 mln barrels of oil passed through the Strait of Hormuz in the past 48 hours.

Russia presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said a trilateral Russia–US–Ukraine meeting could take place in the near term but offered no details. He made the remark after the US proposed a technical-level tripartite meeting in the UAE and said the matter was discussed during a recent Putin–Trump call. Peskov also confirmed that presidential special envoy Dmitriev will visit the United States and is engaging with US negotiating counterparts Witkoff and Kushner on potential economic interactions.
