On Sept. 24, 2026 in New York during the UN General Assembly, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met Bulgarian President Yotova. Han said China and Bulgaria will deepen high-level exchanges and political trust, safeguard each other’s core interests, and advance pragmatic cooperation in agriculture, information and communications, and auto-parts manufacturing; China also offered to expand youth, education and cultural-tourism exchanges and strengthen multilateral coordination.
