UN Secretary-General Guterres on the 23rd at the UN climate summit urged countries to publish credible energy-transition roadmaps with clear timetables and called for stepped-up international finance to help developing countries address climate risks. He urged developed countries to lead by mobilizing at least $300 billion a year and to scale global climate finance to $1.3 trillion a year by 2035, saying the world demands climate justice across mitigation, adaptation and finance.
