The 7th China Liaoning International Investment and Trade Fair opened in Shenyang on the 23rd. Zhou Qiang, vice chairman of the CPPCC, said Beijing continues to prioritize northeast revitalization and that Liaoning will treat opening-up as a basic state policy, build a northeast sea‑land corridor, deepen integration into high‑quality Belt and Road projects, and actively participate in the China–Mongolia–Russia economic corridor to strengthen its hub functions and attract new investment. The fair's theme is New opening, new momentum; a new chapter for revitalization.

HSBC’s preliminary PMI survey showed India’s economic activity accelerated in September, with the services PMI rising to 55.8 from 54.1 and the manufacturing PMI climbing to a seven-month high of 55.7 from 52.8. The composite index reached 56.5, up from 54.3 in August. HSBC said output growth in both manufacturing and services accelerated, goods producers led the latest rise, new orders expanded at a faster pace and employment registered robust growth; the composite index has returned above its long-run average.
