On Sept 23 the National Energy Administration published August 2026 data from the national charging facilities monitoring service platform. As of end-August 2026 China had 24.223 mln EV charging connectors, up 39.6% YoY. Public connectors totaled 5.160 mln, up 19.5%, with rated total power of 262 GW and an average power per connector of about 50.69 kW. Private connectors totaled 19.063 mln, up 46.3%, with reported installed capacity of 163 mln kVA.

Southbound funds net bought CNY 12.691 billion today. Via Shanghai–Hong Kong Stock Connect, Tracker Fund (TraHK) and Alibaba were net bought HKD 2.677 billion and HKD 732 million respectively; Tencent was the largest net sell at HKD 2.238 billion. Via Shenzhen–Hong Kong Stock Connect, Tencent and Zhipu were net bought HKD 2.083 billion and HKD 387 million respectively; CNOOC was the largest net sell at HKD 454 million.
