The Reserve Bank of Australia said on Wednesday the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) remains below its expectations in multiple key areas. The RBA found one or more ASX clearing and settlement facilities were only partially compliant with standards for governance, comprehensive risk management, credit risk and operational risk. Assistant Governor Jones said ASX must demonstrate it can successfully implement its transformation plan without compromising the safety and reliability of its critical market infrastructure.

WTI crude fell below $90/bbl for the first time since Sept. 8, down 1.7% intraday, after reports Iran proposed opening the Strait of Hormuz within "7 days" once the U.S. lifts its blockade.
