Guangzhou launched an initiative urging Guangdong, Fujian, Hunan and other provinces in the cluster to study policies to exempt qualifying hydrogen vehicles from highway tolls and to explore cross‑province mutual recognition of toll discounts across five provinces. The proposal links station siting to the national zero‑carbon road transport corridor plan and aims to reduce end‑user hydrogen costs gradually to below 25 yuan/kg.
