At a State Council press briefing on the 23rd, the Ministry of Education said China aims for a higher‑education gross enrollment rate of 61.3% and an on‑campus student population of 48.73 million by 2025. The UK has agreed to assist the Saudi military in response to Iran-backed Houthi attacks, Prime Minister Andy Burnham said. At Riyadh's request, London will provide "defensive aerial refuelling" support; the operation will begin in coming days and is expected to run for several weeks. The UK is the first government to publicly commit this type of military aid to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's administration; Saudi Arabia has also requested similar support from the United States.
