The UK has agreed to assist the Saudi military in response to Iran-backed Houthi attacks, Prime Minister Andy Burnham said. At Riyadh's request, London will provide "defensive aerial refuelling" support; the operation will begin in coming days and is expected to run for several weeks. The UK is the first government to publicly commit this type of military aid to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's administration; Saudi Arabia has also requested similar support from the United States.
