Rain will intensify ahead of and around landfall tomorrow; southern Jiangsu, southeastern Anhui, most of Zhejiang and Shanghai are forecast to see heavy to torrential rain, with southern Shanghai and eastern Zhejiang at risk of extreme local 24‑hour totals of 400–500+ mm. Authorities warn of strong localized extremes and advise precautions.
