N. Korea foreign ministry spokesman said on the 11th the US and its partners
exposed intentions to engineer bloc confrontation at the NATO summit,
undermining European security and stoking instability in the Asia‑Pacific. He
accused NATO of seeking exclusive geopolitical gains through reckless eastward
expansion, shifting blame onto other states and acting as a "war and
confrontation organization," and said such provocations must not be tolerated;
N. Korea will accelerate building its capabilities to deter confrontation and
military threats and to safeguard national sovereignty, security and regional
stability.
