Yanase, a major Japanese importer-dealer, announced a BYD retail outlet in Isogo Ward, Yokohama that will open on the 11th. It is Yanase’s first franchise for a Chinese brand and BYD’s 53rd store in Japan. The dealership will sell multiple battery-electric models and the plug-in hybrid Sealion 6; BYD’s small EV Racco is scheduled to launch there on the 28th. BYD Japan’s president attended an opening ceremony.

Hong Kong-listed robotics-related stocks mostly rose; Estun (027154.HK) jumped over 6%, while Alibaba (09988.HK), SenseTime (00020.HK), SMIC (00981.HK) and Horizon Robotics (09660.HK) each rose more than 4%.
