On July 10 Changhong and GigaDevice unveiled a joint laboratory. Their GD531 chip application solution and matched household air‑conditioning units were simultaneously rolled off the production line, marking a tangible milestone for localization of core home‑appliance chips and smartification of appliances. The lab will prioritize: advancing scenario-specific adaptation and optimization of MCU chips, memory products and analog devices for appliance terminals; building an end-to-end R&D–testing–iteration–mass-production loop to raise technology commercialization efficiency and product stability; and cultivating cross-disciplinary talent in chip R&D, intelligent control and system integration to meet industry demand.
