Pak Thae-song, Politburo Standing Committee member, vice chairman of the DPRK
State Affairs Commission and premier, arrived in Beijing on the morning of the
10th to begin a three-day official visit to attend the 65th anniversary of the
China‑DPRK Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance. A Chinese
Foreign Ministry spokesperson said China is willing to strengthen strategic
communication with the DPRK, deepen exchanges and cooperation, and, guided by
important consensus between the top leaders of the two parties and states,
advance traditional bilateral ties.
