July 10 — The State Taxation Administration said tax authorities in Shandong,
Zhejiang and Sichuan publicly exposed seven tax-evasion cases involving popular
livestreamers and online stores. Targets include broadcasters with more than 6
million followers and shops with annual sales above 100 million yuan.
Investigators allege use of personal accounts to hide receipts, reclassification
of income, deregistration to evade liabilities, and false filings. The STA said
platform firms must lawfully report tax information on operators and personnel;
platform operators and workers must comply with tax rules and pay taxes
honestly.
