Shanghai Gold Exchange gold T+D opened the July 9 evening session down 0.6% at 897.46 yuan/gram; silver T+D opened up 1.22% at 14,406.0 yuan/kg.

On the downside, lithium carbonate and container freight to Europe fell over 5%; Shanghai silver dropped nearly 3%; cotton and palladium fell more than 2%; rapeseed was down about 2%; cotton yarn and platinum declined just over 1%.
