July 7 — China's National Healthcare Security Administration (NHSA) said that during the selection phase of the 12th national centralized drug procurement an unnamed imported originator submitted a purported joint expert recommendation signed by 31 hospitals and 78 doctors; NHSA verification found more than 80% of the signatures were false. On July 8 Bayer China said the company cited in reports is not Bayer and that Bayer complies with Chinese laws and regulations.
