The Israel Defense Forces said an airstrike in northern Gaza late on the 5th
into the early hours of the 6th killed Fadi Farah Ashour Dagmaish, a commander
in the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) responsible for its
military training wing. The IDF said he oversaw multiple training programs,
including pre-October 7, 2023 training of Hamas’s Nukhba elite units, and had
helped direct operations against Israeli forces in Gaza. Hamas had no immediate
comment.
