TF International Securities analyst Ming‑Chi Kuo says his supply‑chain survey shows foldable iPhone assembly shipments of about 7–8 million in H2 2026, with Q3 shipments of 0.5–1.0 million (around 10% of H2). By contrast, iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max are estimated at about 20–22 million in Q3 and are already stocked for a September retail launch. Kuo says, based on Q3 stocking, the foldable model is likely to mirror the 2017 iPhone X pattern — announced with other models but opening pre‑orders and official sales later — and expects supply tightness to persist through year‑end.

Barnabas Gan, chief economist at a Malaysian bank, said in a note that intensifying economic headwinds and global geopolitical uncertainty are likely to weigh on consumer and business confidence and curb discretionary spending in H2, notably in fashion and entertainment. Elevated fuel and transport costs could pass through to broader consumer prices, lift inflation and erode purchasing power. The bank maintains its forecast for Singapore retail sales growth of 3.0% in 2026.
