The Digital Silk Road Development Forum of the 2026 World Internet Conference will be held in Xi'an on July 21-22 under the theme Smart Silk Road, Digital New Start — jointly building a community of shared future in cyberspace. Aside from the opening ceremony, the forum will host five sector-focused panels: Silk Road e‑commerce cooperation and development; collaborative innovation in intelligent agents; protection and transmission of cultural heritage in the digital era; AI-enabled low‑altitude economy; and digital health. Organizers say the event aims to consolidate consensus and cooperation among Belt and Road countries and to jointly capture opportunities from digitalisation.
