A senior U.S. official said they expect Trump to hold further communications with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

U.S. Naval Forces Central Command said on social media that the U.S. Navy suspended active search at 1500 local time on July 5 for a sailor assigned to Sea Combat Helicopter Squadron 5 who was embarked on the USS George H. W. Bush. The sailor went missing after an MH-60S Seahawk made an emergency water landing in the Arabian Sea on July 1. U.S. Navy and Air Force units conducted a large-scale joint search-and-rescue within CENTCOM’s area of responsibility for more than 102 hours, covering over 14,000 square miles, before ending active search efforts.

President Trump is expected to speak at a U.S. 250th anniversary event at 11:00 p.m. local time (11:00 a.m. Beijing time the following day).
