South Korea's ruling Democratic Party on the 4th strongly rejected a recent U.S. House Judiciary Committee midterm report on e‑commerce firm Coupang, calling its findings seriously inaccurate and saying Coupang is attempting to shift blame for a large-scale user data leak. The U.S. report said Coupang had long been a target of the South Korean government and accused Seoul of carrying out forced investigations, imposing overly burdensome regulatory requirements and excessive fines.
