Israel's Transport Minister Miri Regev said on the 5th that Israel deployed an Iron Dome air-defence battery to the UAE in the early phase of the US-Israel-Iran conflict. It is the first known deployment of Iron Dome outside Israel and the United States and the first public confirmation by an Israeli official; US officials had previously confirmed the deployment.

South Korean presidential chief of staff Kang Hoon-sik said the government plans to use additional tax revenue from the semiconductor boom to establish a Future Fund to finance major national investment projects, bolster long-term competitiveness and support 20–39-year-olds with housing, entrepreneurship and employment measures. Kang said the fund will back the government's three "super projects", address K-shaped economic polarization and serve as a cornerstone of President Lee's drive to make South Korea globally irreplaceable, urging rapid coordination with the ruling party.

Uber has paused most of its planned food-delivery expansion across Europe, dropping launches in five of seven target countries including Austria, Norway and Greece, as it continues to pursue an acquisition of Berlin-based Delivery Hero. The adjustment comes five months after Uber announced the push — at the time targeting entry into markets such as the Czech Republic and Romania and about US$1bn in added gross bookings over three years. Delivery Hero rejected Uber’s €10bn takeover offer in May.
