Lenovo Group vice‑president and Lenovo China chief strategy officer Abulikemu
Abulimiti said on July 2 that both China and overseas markets still have
substantial room for AI compute capacity and there is no compute oversupply. He
said mature leading consumer AI products remain limited and enterprise (B‑side)
commercialization has yet to be fully realized, noting past productivity
revolutions were industry‑driven and imply large long‑term compute demand. He
warned the AI industry chain shows excessive supply‑side leverage and a
supply‑demand imbalance. The remarks follow market concern about oversupply
after Meta recently opened compute capacity.
