China A-share precious metals sector extended gains; Zhaojin Gold, Chifeng Gold and Shan Jin International hit daily limit-ups, while Xiaocheng Technology, Western Gold, Zijin Mining and Sichuan Gold also rallied.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) on July 2 announced a 392 trillion-won industrial investment package targeted at the central Chungcheong region. Samsung group subsidiaries are slated to invest about 140 trillion won for an HBM wafer fab, advanced packaging, OLED output and battery lines; SK Hynix plans roughly 100 trillion won for NAND and advanced packaging fabs; Celltrion intends about 2 trillion won for biopharma facilities. Approximately 150 trillion won is earmarked for AI data centers. The government pledged financing, tax incentives and regulatory support to secure project implementation.
