China Eastern and subsidiary Shanghai Airlines said from July 3, 2026 all
in-flight Wi‑Fi on their widebody aircraft will be free. Super Economy and
Economy passengers will receive standard-tier data; Business and First
passengers will receive high-speed tier. The carrier had previously waived
charges on domestic widebody routes and some international routes; the new
policy extends free access to all domestic and international widebody flights.
