Head of BlackRock (BLK.N)'s troubled private credit fund is leaving after the vehicle suffered multiple loan losses and attracted a US regulatory probe into its valuation methods.

BOJ's quarterly Tankan showed large manufacturers' sentiment rose to 22 in June from 17, beating economists' forecasts. Large non-manufacturers' sentiment climbed to 37, the strongest since 1991. Firms' five-year annual inflation expectations increased to 2.6%, the highest since 2014. The BOJ, which monitors firms' price-expectation measures closely, said the readings support the case for continued rate hikes. The survey covered a period that included a sharp global oil-price spike after the outbreak of the Iran war.

China domestic futures opened mixed with more contracts down than up. Container-shipping Europe route fell over 4%; rapeseed oil and rapeseed meal dropped over 1%; soybean oil, methanol, caustic soda, Dalian soybean No.1 and palm oil declined about 1%. On the upside, lithium carbonate rose over 4%; SHFE silver, SHFE tin, asphalt, LPG, SHFE zinc, polysilicon and eggs gained over 1%, while stainless steel advanced nearly 1%.
