Effective today, road bulk transport of five categories of key liquid foods in China must hold transport permits to operate. Chinese market regulators and related agencies will implement full-chain, professional and traceable oversight to safeguard food safety. The measure covers 14 subcategories, including vegetable oil, condiments, alcoholic beverages, sugar and starch-derived sugars, broadly encompassing varieties currently moved by tankers.
