China Index Academy said 100 major developers purchased CNY 336.0 bln of land in 1H2026, down 33.7% YoY; the decline narrowed 6.8 ppt from the prior month. Core markets including Beijing and Shanghai stayed active, Shenzhen policy moves since May lifted demand, and marginal improvement in developers' sales helped narrow the YoY fall for a fourth consecutive month. On a full-caliber basis, aggregate newly added saleable value for the 100 firms fell 33.4% YoY in 1H2026, a smaller drop than Jan–May, driven by hot core-city land auctions in June; Yuexiu Property, CHINA RES LAND and Poly Developments ranked top three in June land purchases.
