July 1 — Youyan Silicon began construction of a large-diameter semiconductor
monocrystalline silicon project in Baotou Rare Earth High‑Tech Zone, Inner
Mongolia. The site will include about 50,000 sq m of single‑crystal production
facilities; at full capacity it is expected to supply more than 1,000
tonnes/year of monocrystalline silicon for integrated circuits and for etching
equipment, materially boosting the company’s wafer and semiconductor components
output and supply security.
