China’s National Energy Administration head attended and said China is accelerating construction of a clean, low‑carbon, safe and efficient new energy system, has established the world’s largest clean energy system and accumulated significant experience for the global energy transition. China will assume the BRICS chair in 2027 and intends to advocate genuine multilateralism, uphold consultation-and-sharing principles

China will assume the BRICS chair in 2027 and intends to advocate genuine multilateralism, uphold consultation-and-sharing principles, respect member states' wishes, and work with BRICS partners to pragmatically advance high‑quality BRICS energy cooperation.
