On the 30th (local time), Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said on social media
he inspected the "security zone" in southern Lebanon with Defense Minister Katz
and IDF Deputy Chief of Staff Tamir. He reiterated that Israeli forces will
maintain a long-term presence in the area so long as Hezbollah continues to pose
a threat. Speaking at the front, Netanyahu said: "As long as Hezbollah remains
here and poses a threat to us, we will remain here." He ordered the IDF to
undertake immediate, targeted military action upon any detected security threat.
