SK Hynix is negotiating with semiconductor equipment vendors to supply test equipment for its Cheongju P&T7 fab. Vendors are verbally coordinating quantities deliverable next year; industry sources expect about 200 units, including HBM4 test systems, at KRW 1.5–2.0 bln per unit, implying a potential total of up to KRW 400 bln.

The National Medical Products Administration issued two guidance documents—Guidance on Classification and Delimitation of Brain–Computer Interface Medical Devices and Guidance on Generic Naming of Brain–Computer Interface Medical Devices—to strengthen supervision and support high-quality industry development. The classification guidance requires products that use BCI technology but are not regulated as medical devices to explicitly state "not for medical purposes" and prohibits claims that they improve, repair or replace central nervous system functions to prevent misunderstanding or exaggerated publicity.

openPangu is Huawei’s open-source AI model brand, using Ascend-native training and inference technology to provide industry best practices and support an Agent-era AI foundation. Components of the openPangu-2.0 model will be released as open source starting June 30.
