Palestinian sources said on June 30 Israeli forces shelled southern Khan Younis, Rafah and northern Gaza City, conducting heavy bombardment and large-scale demolitions that damaged infrastructure and displaced dozens of families; several civilians were wounded. Gaza medical services said Israeli operations on June 29 killed at least eight Palestinians, including two children, and injured others. Israel had no immediate comment.

Israeli Defense Minister Katz said the IDF is prepared to carry out independent military strikes against targets inside Iran and has already selected potential targets. He warned that if Iran fires missiles at Israel, Israel would deliver a “stunning” retaliatory strike inside Iran and that Israel could be at war with Iran as soon as tomorrow. Katz said Israel will maintain a long-term military presence in southern Lebanon, is closely monitoring U.S.–Iran interactions, and will not interfere with any actions taken by U.S. President Trump against Iran.
