June 26, 2026 — China and Russia held the 17th meeting of the economic and trade cooperation subcommittee’s intellectual property working group by videoconference. Delegates reviewed recent IP legislative, enforcement and judicial developments, discussed AI-related IP protection and measures to combat malicious trademark squatting. Both sides said the working-group mechanism is a key channel for implementing bilateral IP cooperation commitments and will continue to deepen communication to support sustained, healthy bilateral trade.
