Mining company Greenland Resources said on Monday Canada has provided a CAD 7
mln non-repayable grant (~$4.93 mln) for its molybdenum project. Molybdenum,
used in aerospace, energy and defense, is listed as a critical mineral by the EU
and US. Greenland Resources said Canada is the first G7 government to invest in
a Greenland mining project, highlighting rising Western interest in the island’s
strategic mineral resources.
