On the evening of the 27th local time, a technical fault on Tanzania’s national grid cut power to all areas connected to the national transmission network. The national power utility said the fault occurred at 19:00 and the outage affected households, businesses and public institutions across multiple regions. Technical teams are conducting repairs and will restore supply in phases.
