Russia is considering a multi-month diesel export ban on fuel producers, TASS
quoted Deputy Prime Minister Novak as saying on Friday. Ukraine says its
long-range drone strikes on Russian energy facilities aim to weaken a key
military funding source and push the conflict onto Russian territory; President
Putin said attacks on civilian infrastructure are intended to foment internal
discord. Russian diesel output fell about 10% in May, but exports were little
changed as traders rushed to profit from fuel-price spikes amid US–Israel–Iran
tensions. Turkey and Brazil led May purchases, taking most available spot
cargoes.
