June is normally a seasonal trough for China’s construction machinery sector,
but production lines are running at full capacity, electric models are in acute
shortage and delivery cycles have lengthened significantly. New-energy
construction equipment sales remain strong: Jan–May electric loader sales
totaled 20,819 units, up 90.9% YoY. Electrification is becoming the industry's
primary growth engine. Exports are also elevated: Jan–May construction machinery
trade was $28.911 bln, up 19.5% YoY, with exports of $27.902 bln, up 20.8%. Many
manufacturers report capacity constraints and say logistics have shifted from
monthly concentrated shipments to continuous dispatching.
