He noted WP.29’s approval of DCAS UNR 171 series 02 will enter into force six months after approval and become an EU mandatory regulation, clearing the way for legal deployment of autonomous driving in the EU and other markets from end‑2026. He said Xpeng plans overseas rollouts of VLA and VLM in 2027, including mixed Chinese/local‑language in‑car voice control.
