As part of the Trump administration’s push to boost domestic production, the US
Army will allow several companies to build critical-mineral processing plants on
military bases nationwide, people familiar with the matter said. REalloys, Titan
Mining, ioneer and Energy Exploration Technologies have agreements with the
Pentagon to build facilities to process rare earths, graphite, lithium and
boron. REalloys plans a rare-earth separation plant at the Tooele Army Depot in
Utah; output will be stored on-site for military use.
