Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy said on social media on the 25th that vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz must coordinate with the IRGC navy and that non‑compliant ships “will be dealt with.” It said some agencies hours earlier had announced new transit routes without Iranian coordination, calling those routes unacceptable and extremely dangerous.
